Jan Štěpánek is the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
Jan Štěpánek graduated at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. After the graduation he started working at the company Potraviny Praha and he has been an employee of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority since 1991. Until 1994 he was an inspector and then he became the Director of the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate. From November 2010, he was the Acting Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
On September 1, 2011, the Minister of Trade and Industry Martin Kocourek appointed him the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
Jan Štěpánek is married and has two children.
