Workplaces were especially stressed that are situated near schools and at locations where youngsters hang out – railway and bus stations, bus stops and similar locations.

In total 391 objects were controlled and deficiencies were detected in 65 of the controlled workplaces – i.e. 16.62%. Infringements of law were detected when cigarettes were sold in a different way than in a closed unitary package (minimally 20 pieces of cigarettes) with a valid tobacco sticker. (Inspectorates: Královéhradecký and Pardubický – 123 controls/45 findings, Jihočeský and Vysočina – 22 controls/2 findings, Plzeňský and Karlovarský - 24 controls/3 findings, Jihomoravský and Zlínský – 56 controls/8 findings, Prague - 73 controls/1 finding, Moravskoslezský – 41 controls/2 findings, Ústecký and Liberecký – 52 controls/4 findings).

Examples of findings: One controlled person infringed the law by selling 2 pieces of cigarettes LD RED in the price of CZK 8 within the consumer’s (CTI inspector’s) purchase of control. Another controlled person sold 2 pieces of cigarettes Rockets for CZK 8 to the consumer (CTI inspector).

Totally in 63 cases, the controlled persons will be issued fines in administrative proceedings for selling unitary pieces of cigarettes. In two cases, fines at the inspection location were issued.
