(Prague, December 7, 2011) The control action was carried out in order to answer the question whether examined welding generators and electric generator sets that are placed on the Czech internal market meet technical requirements of appropriate legislation – especially whether there are products that do not meet basic safety requirements. Totally 69 products of 43 types were checked and deficiencies were found in 6 products of 5 types. Inspectors were shown manufacturer’s technical documentation for 2 products of 2 types without any examinations of noise and electromagnetic compatibility and another product was distributed without any marking on guarantied acoustic performance, i.e. they did not meet technical requirements on products from the view of noise emissions. Other 4 examined products (3 types) were distributed without any attached declaration of conformity. In all cases, obligations provided by the Act No. 22/1997 Coll. on Technical Requirements on Products were breached.
