The found defects have already been fined in 70 cases with 95.000 CZK in total within various kinds of administrative procedures. In addition the Czech Trade Inspection Authority has forbidden selling of 480 pieces of goods in the price of 192.282 CZK in total and has also forbidden using of 8 pieces of measuring instruments.

Controls of offers and selling of goods in seasonal sales
(Prague, February 4, 2010) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority in January 2010 performed controls in shops selling and offering discounted goods, goods in special offers and on the premises with seasonal sales.
In 568 shops controls were performed during January 2010 and in 198 of the checked premises defects were found. The controls were focused on abidance of duties to inform and the aim was to check whether the promoted discounts were really given or whether they were only a commercial trick of the seller.
