On the grounds of previous operational check, an extraordinary control action took place on June 8 in the River Side Marketplace in Holešovice where 17 CTIA inspectors participated together with Alien Police. Totally 979 pieces of products were taken in the estimated overall value of 3.2 million CZK in the prices of originals. During the control, textile products, leather fancy goods and shoes were taken that were illegally marked with trademarks BURBERRY, LV, D+G, Diesel, Puma, Adidas, Nike, Replay, MONSTER and other.

SAPA Areal, Praha 4:

Another extraordinary control focused on toys was held on June 16, 2011, in the marketplace of SAPA Areal in Praha-Libuše. Offering , selling and stocking of products infringing some intellectual property rights was detected. Within the control in which except for 13 CTIA inspectors also policemen from the operational team Cizinec 2 (Foreigner 2) and locally appropriate trade licensing office participated, 2,029 pieces of fakes were taken in the estimated originals’ price of 3.8 million CZK.

Marketplaces: Asia Dragon Bazar, Svatý Kříž u Chebu, and OC Dragoun, Cheb:

Prague inspectors found defects also within a Sunday control action at the marketplace Asia Dragon Bazar in Svatý Kříž u Chebu an in the shopping mall Obchodní centrum Dragoun in Cheb on June 26, 2011. In the frame of this common action of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (19 inspectors) and Customs General Directorate, 340 pieces of products infringing some intellectual property rights were taken out of reach of controlled persons. The fakes’ estimated value was 4.5 million CZK in the prices of originals. These were fakes of 25 pieces of watches Porche, U boat, Aviator, Shopart, Breitling and Rolex, handbags of the Burberry trademark, wallets Luis Vuitton, textile products of Puma, Mamut, Ed Hardy, Nike, Burton, Bench, Chanel, Guess, Hello Kitty, Gucci, Dolce Gabanna and fakes of SOG knives.
