On Friday 9, 2011, the inspectors of the Jihomoravský and Zlínský Inspectorate carried out a control action at the wine festivals in Znojmo and Mikulov. They focused on abidance with the Act No. 634/1999 Coll. on Consumer Protection and the Act No. 64/1986 Coll. on the Czech Trade Inspection Authority within the sale and provision of services. They found 5 breaches within 14 controls during the wine festival in Znojmo and 12 controls during the wine festival in Mikulov.
They imposed 4 fines at the spot and in one case they suggested administrative proceedings after having found that the seller used uncertified measuring tools and did not enable consumers to check the amount of purchased drinks or weight of purchased goods.
