(Overall report – second trimester)

(Prague, August 8, 2011) Not only tourist, but also CTIA inspectors evaluate level of shops and services that belong to the touristic season. The inspectors check whether sellers and services providers abide with applicable legislation and whether consumers’ right are infringed. This is why in the period from April 1 to June 30, 2011, a national control action was carried out within which inspectors focused on checking offering goods and services for tourists. Breaches of the Act on Consumer Protection were found in one third of the total 298 controls.
