Dangerous product: a baby-coach

(Prague, February 16, 2010) The Czech Trade Inspection detected that to consumers on the Czech market a product is offered which poses a serious risk to children.

The baby-coach Implast Bolder SD, originally coming from Poland, is the dangerous product.

With regard to the detected construction deficiencies it is more than probable that when using the product in a common and predicted way, a situation will occur when a child gets injured.

Within the test of the baby-coach – the deep bed version and in the direction of the vehicle with the handle to the front, already after the seventh crash the bed was released (shifted) from the construction due to the front clips were out of the construction and it was not possible to continue with the test.

At the same (deep) type of the baby-coach in the opposite direction of the handle, i.e. with the handle in the back, after the sixth crash a 65-milimeters shift was stopped by the construction arch; it was not possible to continue with the test. In both cases the safety requirement was not met.

Within the test of the baby-coach’s sport version and in the vehicle’s direction with the handle in the front, already after the second crash the bed was released (shifted) from the construction (the front clips were out of the construction). In the opposite vehicle’s direction with the handle in the back, after the sixth crash the slide was 22 mm and stopped by the construction arch and it was not possible to continue with the test. In both cases the safety requirement was not met.

This is why the Czech Trade Inspection banned the sale of the product and subsequently the distributor adopted measures to withdraw the product from the market.
