We speak about a combined baby-coach type Implast Bolder 4 which is sold to consumers without any packaging. The producer of the baby-coach is the company P.P.H. IMPLAST s.j., Wykopy Str. 11, 60-001 Poznaň, Poland.
When examining the product and the cause of danger, it was detected that the characteristics of the examined sample do not meet safety requirements on baby-coaches.
Within the examination it was detected:
a) The bed (deep) construction: In the direction of the vehicle in which the handle is in the back, already after the third crash the bed released (“slide”) off the construction. Front clips appeared out of the construction and it was not possible to continue in the test – the requirement on safety of the baby-coach was not met!
b) Sport construction: In the direction of the vehicle in which the handle is in the back, after 10 crashes the seat was moved (released) on the construction in terms of 21 mm – the standard’s requirement in maximally 10 mm! the direction of the vehicle in which the handle is in the front, again after ten crashes the seat was moved (released) on the construction in terms of 20 mm - the standard’s requirement is again 10 mm! Requirement on safety of the baby-coach was not met. Furthermore, unsatisfactory or incomplete information in the manual and marking on the product were detected.
This baby-coach Implast Bolder 4 does not meet requirements on child care products – Baby Coaches – and withal does not meet requirements on products safety according to the Act on General Safety of Products.
“With regard to the fact that the baby-coach is not a safe product, protective measure was issued to ban introducing the product to the market, to impose withdrawing the product off the market and off use and furthermore, obligation was laid to effectively and urgently inform persons in possible danger of the product about the product’s threats,” said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection.
