On May 10, 2011, a control was carried out operatively at a stall in České Velenice where 23 pieces of watches – forgeries of branded products – in the total originals’ price of about 5 million CZK were taken. Administrative proceedings will be processed against an unknown person because the seller ran away after he had found out that his customers are inspectors indeed. After an expert assessment, the taken goods was considered fakes of trade-marks PATEK, Samsoe, Cartier and RADO and will be destroyed after the decision comes to force.

Hatě, Jihomoravský a Zlínský Inspectorate of the CTIA

The Hatě marketplace has become a repeated target of a CTIA control on Sunday May 21, 2011. In 8 selected stalls, 545 pieces of fakes of clothing, shoes and fancy goods in estimated originals’ price of 7.7 million CZK were taken. After controlled persons had been identified and expert assessments processed to prove that the taken products are fakes of trade-marks, administrative proceedings will be launched with the controlled persons and a fine will be issued, goods will be confiscated and liquidated or handed in for humanitarian purposes.

Inspectors of the Jihomoravský and Zlínský Inspectorate of the CTIA as well as inspectors of the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate of the CTIA participated in the control action in cooperation with the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic.
