The product is dangerous due to the fact that when the batteries are in the appliance and the USB interface is plugged in, charging starts. The charging can cause a fast increase of temperature with the consequence of ventilation, creep and explosion of the batteries and people can be hurt. There is a danger that skin can be burned and sight can be damaged. In one case, even fire was registered.
The CTI banned the sale of the above mentioned product and subsequently the distributor took action based on which he withdrew the product from the market.
