www.levne-nakupy.net

(Prague, March 1, 2010) The Jihočeský and Vysočina Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority performed a control of e-shop www.levne-nakupy.net (i.e. “cheap-shopping” in English). The control based on citizens’ request was held on February 17, 2010.

The control was performed after 10 citizens made a complaint at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority. These customers have not received nor ordered and paid goods and nor their money back. The inspectors controlled the person on its address announced in the contact details section of the e-shop. As the e-shop keeper was not present on her home address, Metropolitan Police (MP) members were called and according to their information the e-shop keeper does not live on the given address and lives in Austria. The MP members advised to contact the owner of the property on the given address. The owner agreed an appointment with the e-shop keeper.

The entrepreneur – in the presence of an interpreter and her husband – said that she is not keeping the e-shop www.levne-nakupy.net and that she has never done so any before. The goods presented on the web she doesn’t own nor sell, she said. The given bank account on which the consumers were sending their money for the ordered goods is not hers and she doesn’t know its owner and she even had no idea about any existence of this e-shop.

After detailed information search it was found that the internet domain levne-nakupy.net is owned by a citizen from Prague 8. The domain hosting is provided by Webhosting s.r.o. Slaný.

“According to the given facts being features of fraud, illegal enterprise and enriching, we transfer the case to the Police of the Czech Republic,” said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the director general of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
