DISCOVERED DEFECTS:
This product does not comply with ČSN EN 60598-1: appendix 4:2005+O1:2007+A1:2007 and ČSN EN 60598-2-20:1998+A1:1999+A2:2005

1. A label specifying that product has been designed for indoor use is missing.

2. The socket, cable, solid, non-removable sleeve or label attached to the cable do not have the required information: origin specifications, protection class, dust and water protection class, or note that this chain has been designed for indoor use only.

3. The nominal cross-section value of wires may not be less than 0,5 mm²(Ø 0,8 mm). The value obtained by measurement was Ø 0,2 mm only.

4. Chains with non-removable, flexible cables must be attached to the cable in a such a way that releases the cable from pull tension and twisting stress at the point of the attachment (so-called tension release clamp). Testing revealed that cables are attached by soldering only.

5. The length of the cable between the fork plug and the first socket may not be less than 1,5 m. The value obtained through measurement was 0,75 m only.

6. Basic dimension of the flat, two-pin fork plug must comply with ČSN 354516 standard: width 35,3±0,7, height 13,7±0.7, pin length 19±0,5 and pin insulation measured from the fork edge must be 10 mm – dimensions obtained through measurement: width 30,0, height 10,4, pin length 19,0 and pins insulation measured from the fork edge 10, (all measurements in mm)

Conclusion:

This product does not comply with basic requirements included in the Government directive No. 17/2003 Coll., describing technical requirements for low voltage appliances in connection with Rule No. 22/1997 Coll., describing product technical requirements, as amended.
