Live parts of the fork plug may notbe accessible when the fork is partially or fully inserted into power outlet.
It has been tested and verified that when the fork is partially inserted in the power outlet, live parts of the fork plug are accessible by test finger ČSN EN 60335-1.
ČSN IEC 60884-1: 2003+ amendment 1: 2004, includes a picture of normalized plug fork, used to connect class II appliances. This fork has its pins protected by plastic sleeve 10 mm long. The fork plug of the tested appliance (electric hot melt glue gun) does not have such protective sleeves.

This standard is valid for fork plugs and for fixed or portable AC power outlets with or without safety pin/contact, designed for nominal voltage above 50 V, but no more than 440 V and with nominal current of maximum 32 A, used in households or in similar indoor or outdoor environments.
These standards also apply to forks that are part of detachable power cables, to forks and detachable power outlets, which are part of extension cables and to forks and power outlets that are part of an appliance, unless specified otherwise in applicable norm or standard relevant to the applicable appliance.
