CTIA alerts: Children can suffocate when playing flutes
(Prague, January 19, 2012) As the controls carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority have shown, there are still toys that are offered in the Czech market despite the risks they pose to the smallest users, i.e. to children. In Western Bohemia, inspectors of the CTIA found plastic and metal flutes that can damage children’s health or endanger their lives even when used in a common way. The flutes have no detailed marking and information and are so small that the child might choke when playing – as these toys are designed for oral use. Selling of these products was banned.
