DISCOVERED DEFECTS:
Tests results revealed that the above mentioned product does not comply with the ČSN EN 71-1+A 4:2007 standard, describing toy safety regulations– Part 1: the Mechanical and physical properties and also with ČSN EN 62115:2006, the Electric toys safety rules.
1. When the zipper, located on the monkey stomach is open, the soft filing material is easily accessible. This material may be taken out and the child make easily swallow it or inhale it, which may cause suffocation of the child. This material also permeate through the zipper itself.
2. The battery compartment may be accessed without using any tools and therefore it is not protected sufficiently, as the access is available only by opening the zipper.
This product does not comply with basic product market introduction regulations, as specified by Rule No. 2, Item 1, NV No. 19/2003 Coll., describing toy technical requirements in connection with Rule No. 13, law No. 22/1997 Coll., describing product technical requirements, as amended.
