Air Comet goes bankrupt - what to do
The Spanish Company Air Comet has closed its activities and is going onto a bankruptcy procedure. We offer consumers relevant and actualized information regarding this issue from the own airline and from AESA (National Agency for Aerial Security), public board of the Ministry of Public Works.
Affected concumers must be patient as Spanish mercantile law establish a specific order to know who can be a beneficiary from the money that rests once company cease the commercial activities. Unfortunately passengers are one of the last on such order as first will go employees, suppliers of any service, social security... Just to remember an identical case, three years ago (on December 2006) the airline Air Madrid went bankrupt, too, and no single person has got back any amount paid for the tickets.
