Civil Code
The Civil Code stipulates civil law relations and the positions of parties to them. From the consumer protection point of view, the provisions of this legislation that affect consumers' rights and duties are important.
GENERAL PROVISIONS of the CIVIL CODE

The relevant provisions are contained in Act No. 367/2000 Coll., which amended the Civil Code and is based on Council Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts, European Parliament and Council Directive 97/7/EC on consumer protection for contracts concluded remotely and Council Directive 85/577/EEC on consumer protection for contracts concluded outside retail outlets.

Definition and requisites of a contract, information requirements, deadlines for withdrawing from the contract, duties of the providers when concluding contractual relations, the consumers' legal entitlements.
The relevant provisions were contained in Act No. 135/2002 Coll., which amended the Civil Code and is based on European Parliament and Council Directive 94/47/EC on the protection of purchasers with regard to certain aspects of contracts on the purchase of the right to use immovable properties on a timeshare basis.
