The relevant provisions are contained in Act No. 367/2000 Coll., which amended the Civil Code and is based on Council Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts, European Parliament and Council Directive 97/7/EC on consumer protection for contracts concluded remotely and Council Directive 85/577/EEC on consumer protection for contracts concluded outside retail outlets.
