Autumn exhibition - FLORA OLOMOUC 2010

(Prague, November 2, 2010) The Moravskoslezský and Olomoucký Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection performed a control at the fair FLORA OLOMOUC in the days from October 7 till October 8, 2010. The control was performed at the fair’s location, at the Flora Exhibition Grounds and its near surroundings.

In the frame of the control activity, in total 11 controls were performed that were focused on the level of provided services. Controls were performed at 4 taxi services providers, in 1 public alimentation workplace and at 6 stalls with flowers, groceries and hand tools. The objective of the controls was to check whether applicable laws are infringed within sale of goods and provision of services within the fair.

 

Infringements of laws were detected at 5 sellers in total, i.e. 45.5%. In total 4 sellers did not inform consumers about the products’ prices in the sale offer in compliance with pricing regulations and 1 seller did not use any certified measure within the purchase of control. For the detected deficiencies, 4 fines at the inspection location were issued in the total amount of CZK 4,000. In 1 case, the detected deficiencies are the ground for administrative proceedings and in 1 case, ban on further use of uncertified measure was issued until remedy.

 

“With regard to the extent of detected deficiencies, controls with the same focus will be subsequently filed in the schedule of the control activities,” said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection.
