The Czech Trade Inspection Authority discovered that products offered and sold on the Czech market pose a serious danger mainly to small children, as they may be confused with real food. This product is a set of candles - mix set, shaped as small candies.
This product may seriously damage health - inhalation hazard or danger of swallowing small parts.
Thanks to the product nature, size, colour and aroma, this product is dangerous, as it may be easily confused with food. The performed evaluation revealed that children may easily remove small pieces from the candy-like products and swallow them. This product may pose danger and inevitable health complications mainly to small children or to persons with low distinguishing ability.
The CTIA banned this product from being introduced and sold on the Czech market and the distributor accepted applicable measures and recalled this product from the market, said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the General Director of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
