Children knitted jacket

(Prague, June 17, 2009) the Czech Trade Inspectorate discovered that a dangerous consumer product is being sold on the Czech market. This product represents a serious danger for small children.

It is a children knitted jacket, equipped with a tightening rope with pompons around the neck area. Product is originally from Poland.

These ropes pose danger of suffocation or injuries if the rope gets suddenly caught up and tightened.  Small children clothing may not be designed, manufactured and supplied with tightening lines or with decorative lines sewn into the hood or around the neck area.

Due to the above-mentioned reasons, the CTI banned this product from being offered and sold on the market.
