In total 17 employees of the Czech Trade Inspection performed the control and within the activity they confiscated 214 forgeries – textile products illegally labelled with trade-marks “Calvin Klein, Burberry, Diesel, Dolce&Gabbana, Armani, Chanel, Gucci, Guess, G-Star, Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, PRADA, Replay a Louis Vuitton”. Sales price of their originals would be 1,388,050 CZK. The products infringing some of the intellectual property rights were stocked out of reach of the controlled persons.

The controls were focused not only of offering and selling forgeries, but also on abiding with the Consumer Protection Act, because information about the purchased product are provided only in the mutual way. With regard to the fact that at the stalls it was only sellers or selling persons who were not willing to accept fines at the inspection location, administrative proceedings will be launched.
