Control on level of keeping level of services provided in tire services and car services workplaces

(Prague, May 7, 2010) In the period from March 1, 2010, and April 30, 2010, the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate of the CTI performed controls on tire services and car services. The controls were focused on keeping the level of provided services.

In total 26 controls were performed, including 16 on physical persons and 10 on legal persons. Deficiencies were found at 3 physical persons’ and at 4 legal persons’. This stands for 26,92% of the total number of controlled subjects.

In 1 workplace of a legal person, infringement of law was detected when the seller did not allow weighing the declared weight of a purchased PB because at the time of control there was only a measuring tool with a non-valid certification present at the workplace. In 6 workplaces at 3 physical persons’ and at 3 legal persons’ infringement of law was discovered when the seller did not inform fully about the price of the offered service works (offered products). 1 workplace was not properly identified with the business name, name of responsible person, nor identification number.

Due to the above mentioned, in 7 cases fine was issued at the inspection location in the total amount of 12,000 CZK.

In the context of the control activity results, we can see that applicable legislation remains infringed. These results are obviously the reason for future performance of control activities of such focus,” said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection.
