(Prague, May 5, 2009), the Czech Trade Inspectorate discovered that dangerous consumer products are being sold on the Czech market. These products represent a serious danger, mainly for small children.

"This product, thanks to its shape, size and colour is dangerous, because it may be easily confused with food,“ said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the General director of the Czech Trade Inspectorate. Testing and evaluation of the product established that children may bite small pieces of the candle (apple) off and therefore based on predictable conditions and behaviour of children, this product represents a serious danger of suffocation.
The CTI prohibited sale of the above-mention products and the distributor accepted applicable measures and recalled these products from the market,“ said RNDr. Jana Příhodová, the General director of the Czech Trade Inspectorate.
