Based on the achieved test results, performed at the applicable testing facility, the CTI hereby announces that a dangerous product is being offered and sold on the Czech market. This product represents a serious risk of injuries and property damages.

Dragon table lamp, brand and type missing

Product description: It is a table lamp with a small pedestal, decorated as a dragon, which may be moved easily from place to place. The dragon holds a light bulb in his left “arm” with the following parameters: 230 V, 15 W class II, dimensions approximately  47 x 35 x 25 cm, weight 4 kg

Type of danger: Risk of injuries by electric shock and fire.

Dangerous issues:

-      The lamp does not have any labelling or markings on it

-      Insulation inside the light bulb socket does not comply with the applicable requirements, the insulation is defective and the basic installation touches metal parts

-      The nominal cross-section value of inner wirings is not sufficient

-      Power cored wires do not have sufficient cross-section.

Market protection measures: The CTI issued applicable corrective measures, which prohibit this product from being introduced to the market and ordered the product recall.

The Czech Trade Inspectorate recommends to all consumers who purchased this product to stop using it and return it to the seller.
