SUBJECT TO CONTROLS:
Fuel stations on the territory of the Czech Republic.
OBJECT OF THE CONTROL:
Collecting samples of fuels (motor petrol, motor oil, mixed fuels and LPG) and controlling their quality. The CTIA checked abiding of rule No. 3 item 1 of the law No. 311/2006 Coll., the Fuel Regulations.
CONTROL RESULTS:
Out of total 153 samples collected in February 2010 there were 5 samples that did not meet the requirements, i.e. 9,8 %.

In February out of 73 controlled samples of diesel oils 9 did not meet the requirements. In all these cases the defect was the inflammation point. In 1 case (1,4 %) it was unsatisfactory content of fatty acids methyl esters (FAME), unsatisfactory density and distillation test . Out of 59 controlled motor petrol samples, 6 samples (10,2 %) did not meet the requirements of particular quality standards. In 3 samples (5,1 %) a defect was detected in ethanol and oxygen content; in 2 cases (3,4 %) distillation tests were unsatisfactory the same as research octane number (ROM), motor octane number (MON) and aroma content. In 20 collected LPG samples and in 1 mixed fuel sample no defects were found.
The table makes clear that the comparison of the January 2010 results and the February 2010 results shows the same level of quality of LPG, but in the motor oil and the motor petrol a worsened quality was detected.
Results (in accordance with the kinds of fuels), including found defective criteria, are to be seen on the attachment nr. 1.
Overall data on fuel stations by who defects in fuels quality were found in February 2010 are to be seen in the attachment nr. 2.; it also shows values of defective quality indicators.
In February were found violations of upper acceptable limit of bio ingredients in the fuels; it was in 1 motor oil sample and in 3 motor petrol samples.
In February the average value of FAME content in the motor oil samples is 4,4 % of the content and the maximum was 10,9 %. The average detected content of ethanol in motor petrol was 3,7 % of the content. Maximal content was 23,4 %. Maximal admissible sulphur content was not violated in any sample in February. All tested samples were sulphur free.
In February all samples of LPG met the demands. Analysis of collected samples proved violations of quality standards in 9 motor oil samples and 6 motor petrol samples. In February 9,8 % of samples did not meet the requirements.
