Online purchase of tickets is safer
(Prague, October 26, 2011) On September 2011, the European Commission published results of a common SWEEP 2010 investigation carried out by the EU member states, Norway and Iceland. The results have shown that after enforcement bodies took actions, already 88% of all examined websites now comply with EU consumer rules.
The main detected problems that appeared on websites all across the EU enabling online purchase of tickets to cultural and sporting events were unfair provisions in terms and conditions and missing or misleading information about prices or about traders. 

In the Czech Republic, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out checks of totally eleven web pages offering tickets for cultural and sporting events online. In three of them, suspicion concerning incomplete consumer information appeared; however, in all cases all defects were corrected by the traders.
