Press proclamation concerning TV Nova report from September 2, 2010
TV NOVA presents misleading information – is it on purpose?

in TV Nova report from September 2, 2010, the redactor Hynek introduced Ing Jan CHOCHOL as the economic general of the Institute of Fuels and Lubricants. This is a provable lie – this company was deleted from the Trade Register on August 1, 2010. Who is then Ing. Jan Chochol and whose interests is he presenting?

The redactor said that the CTI is represented by a “is said a renowned law office”. I suppose that he can check his words in the report as it is easy just to view the bulletin in which selection procedure are displayed and in which can be found who is representing the CTI and who organizes the competition. No need to mention that the redactor was informed about the concrete name and the name of the law office.

It is noticeable that the redactor Hynek and TV Nova had a common, I stress this word common, decision about the objection inquiry even before we received it as an organization, or more precisely our legal deputy. On the webpage of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚHOS) one can read how many state institutions are controlled concerning public contracts. I only hope that this media campaign is not an attempt of the company (the question is which company – see the Trade Register) to influence authorities that should assess this public contract. I believe that it is no one’s goal to restrain in any way to an independent assessment. The public contract will be discussed at the ÚOHS and, perhaps, administrative tribunal. It is very unusual that concerning an unclosed public contract, which was organized as an open procedure and where anyone could apply, a public discussion is lead (in addition through the media) in the process of its assessment.
