EVALUATION:
Tests results revealed that the above mentioned product does not comply with the ČSN EN 71-1+A 4:2007 standard, describing toy safety regulations– Part 1: the Mechanical and physical properties.
DISCOVERED DEFECTS:
The handlebar ends are covered with easily removable plastic covers. If removed, the handlebar ends reveal sharp edges, which may cause cut injuries during predictable use of the tricycle.
Other deficiencies discovered by risk analysis, article No. 4.15.1.2 – the tricycle does not include assembling instructions, safety regulations and user´s manual and the user is not warned about potential dangers in connection with the use of the product.
This product does not comply with basic regulations, as specified by Rule No. 2, Item 1, NV No.19/2003 Coll., describing toy technical requirements in connection with Rule No. 13, law No. 22/1997 Coll., describing product technical requirements, as amended.
APPLIED MEASURES:
The CTI prohibited this product from sale, pursuant to Rule No 7, Item 1, letter a), Rule No. 64/1986 Coll., the Czech Trade Inspectorate law, as amended. Further, corrective measures in accordance with Rule No. 7a, Item 1, letter b) and c) of this law shall be applied.
