(Prague April 6, 2009), the Czech Trade Inspectorate discovered that a dangerous product is being sold on the domestic market.

It is a set of coffee candles, DK-8220 Braband 1911400, EAN 5 701390 175358. The product was manufactured in China. This set contains four types of candles – a candle in a glass container, a candle in a metal box with transparent lid made of glass, a candle shaped as a cylinder with coffee beans sealed at the bottom and four pieces of brown candles. The product is aromatized.            

The candle in the glass, thanks to its design, shape, size, colour and aroma may be easily confused with food. That is with a cup of coffee with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon on top. Based on these findings, the CTI declares this product dangerous.
