The CTI discovered dangerous swimming life ring.

(Prague, April 8, 2009), the Czech Trade Inspectorate found a dangerous product, which has been included into the international warning system RAPEX.

It is a swimming life ring INTEX, RAPEX notification No. 0092/09, manufactured from PVC, decorated with colour animal pictures. The product is originally from China. This product is being imported to the Czech Republic by Mr. Jaroslav Janeček DSM, Průhonice.

 

The product contains 30m/m% of DEPH, the inflation valve 32m/m% DINP, whereas the maximum allowed value is 0,1m/m%.

 

The CTI forbade this product from being sold and issued measures prohibiting this product from being introduced to the market. Further, the CTI also established the responsibility to immediately inform consumers about the applicable dangers, regarding the use of this product. These findings were forwarded to the local Inspectorate for additional evaluation.
