The Czech Trade Inspectorate inspected markets and buy and sale affairs in Hatě and Hevlín

(Prague March 19, 2009), on March 17, 2009, the inspectors of the Czech Trade Inspectorate performed inspections of markets and buy and sale affairs in Hatě and Hevlín. They mainly focused on goods, as well as on the storage of goods, which may violate regulations of the intellectual property protection law.

The inspection event was performed by 5 CTI inspectors, in cooperation with the Regional Foreign police Directorate. 470 faked or counterfeited products have been confiscated. Products such as shoes and clothing in the total amount of CZK 545,320,-.

After persons violating the applicable law have been identified and after expert reports and evaluations, confirming counterfeiting activities were produced, the applicable legal proceedings against these persons began. These proceedings shall determine the amount of the applicable penalties of fines and whether such goods shall be destroyed or given to humanitarian organizations.
