All across the Czech Republic, in total 205 controls of workplaces and stalls were performed. Out of this number, infringements of laws were detected in 58 cases which stand for 28.29% of the total number of the controlled workplaces.
Most frequently, infringements of the Act on Consumer Protection were detected when deficiencies in marking the offered products were found in 29 sellers. Based on these findings ban was issued on sale of 1,515 pieces of products in the total amount of CZK 132,869.
From the view of frequency, in 19 cases infringements of laws were detected when the seller did not inform the consumer about the price of the offered products in compliance with the pricing regulations.
For the infringements of laws, in total 30 fines at the inspection location were issued to the controlled persons in the total amount of CZK 29,000. In 2 cases ban was issued on using uncertified measures. Furthermore, ban was issued on sale of goods in the number of 1,515 pieces of products in the total amount of CZK 132,869 until remedy and last but not least, administrative proceedings will be launched with 26 controlled persons.
The control activity’s results show that within the sale of products that are due to their characteristics related to All Souls’ Day, laws are being infringed ca in 30% of sellers.
Among the most frequent defects belong insufficient fulfilling informational obligations in the field of products and informing consumers about the products. The results of the control activity fully give reasons to its realization.
