Information on products provided for humanitarian purposes - State on June 30, 2010

(Prague, August 11, 2010) The Czech Trade Inspection (CTI) files requests for products or goods that can be used for humanitarian purposes. The CTI files these requests and if it has got needed products or goods, it hands them over to organisations for humanitarian purposes.

In the period from January 1 to June 30, 2010, the Czech Trade Inspection provided 1,103 pieces of products in total for humanitarian purposes in the total amount of 1,790,280 CZK.

 

Since the law No. 64/2986 Coll. on the CTI came to force – validity from December 19, 2003, until June 30, 2010, the CTI received 186 primary requests in total for products or goods that can be used for humanitarian purposes. In 2010, one primary request was filed. In total 148 requests were satisfied since the law came to force.

 

Furthermore, since the law came to force until June 30, 2010, the CTI received 43 repeated requests in total (i.e. requests of those organisations and facilities whose primary requests were satisfied. In 2010, no repeated request was filed. Out of the total number of 43 repeated requests, so far 13 were satisfied.
