(Prague, January 2, 2012) Medical devices – rehabilitation beds are mostly designed for health care providers and masseurs or rehabilitation workers and the CTIA control was focused especially on the beds’ manufacturers. Four bed types were checked at 2 manufacturers and 2 distributors and defects were found in 1 type. After its manufacturer had not provided all documentation necessary to assess conformity in a stated way, the manufacturer was issued measures to remedy and was imposed a fine at the spot. Further controls will be focused on beds used directly in rehabilitation facilities.
