Tobacco and alcohol sell in Prague 1
(Prague, February 8, 2010) The Středočeský Inspectorate and the Prague City Hall on January 29 performed a control on abidance with the Act on precautions concerning protection against damages caused by tobacco products, alcohol and other addictive drugs.

Prague Police and the Police of the Czech Republic cooperated with the inspectors. The control was performed in the late afternoon and during the night hours in the area of the city district Prague 1.

 

In the afternoon 7 subjects offering packed alcoholic drinks were controlled. In all the 7 cases there is a suspicion that alcoholic drinks were sold to persons below 18 years of age. In another case the shopkeeper didn’t place the text informing about the prohibition to sell alcoholic drinks to persons below 18 years of age visibly for the buyer in the area where such alcoholic drinks are sold. During the night 2 premises of community feeding were controlled and in one case the inspectors suspected that an alcoholic drink was sold to a person below 18 years of age.

In all cases in which defects were found the CTIA will start administrative procedures with the controlled subjects
