(Prague, August 16, 2011) Second half of the summer season has started. Many people have already enjoyed their vacation, some still plan to go. If you do not belong to those who travel on their own and you prefer offers of travel agencies or operators, you should be very careful concerning your final choice... Not all of them provide legally binding information in the defined extent which may show that the provided services are not without defects. Officers of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on travel agencies’ and operators’ offers on the whole territory of the Czech Republic even before the start of the main touristic season. From April 1 to June 30, they checked offers of 90 travel agencies and operators and found breaches of obligations in every fourth of them. So far, 13 fines in the total amount of CZK 54,000 were lawfully imposed.
