CTIA found more motor oil samples of poor quality in September (Monitoring of fuel quality in September 2012)

(Prague, October 12, 2012) The quality of fuels belongs to the most interested fields of inspection, especially among consumers. During September, the CTIA inspectors took 382 fuel samples on the territory of the Czech Republic including 12 samples which failed to meet the quality requirements, i.e. 3.1% - namely 3 motor petrol samples, 7 motor oil samples and two samples of mixed fuel. PROLUX Consulting Int. s.r.o. did not pay the 5 million fine

(Prague, October 12, 2012) In September 2012, after having assessed all circumstances the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority Jan Štěpánek confirmed the fine in the amount of 5 million Czech crowns imposed by the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate to the real estate agency PROLUX Consulting Int, s.r.o. for breaches of the ban on the use of unfair commercial practices when concluding contracts on the sale of property. Dangerous phthalates in pushbike handles

(Prague, October 10, 2012) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority detected another product which poses a risk of health damage to its users, i.e. to children. The handles of the “Prime NEW” pushbike were made of soft plastic which contained the illicit amount of phthalates, namely 22 times higher amount than allowed by the limit for toys. The CTIA banned selling of this risky product and transferred the finding to the sanitarians that would check the health hazard.
