(Monitoring of fuels quality in July 2016)(Praha, August 25, 2016) Monthly monitoring of fuels quality at filling stations on the territory of the Czech Republic belong among regular inspection activities of the CTIA. In July, sampled fuels met all the determined quality requirements and were without defects. There was an improvement by 3% when compared with June 2016. Playpen BABY VIVO doesn’t secure safety

Plastic rattle can endanger the health of smallest users

(Prague, August 17, 2016) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority discovered that a toy, a rattle, is offered in the retail market and can pose serious health risk to children under 3 years. The hazard is that within a common and usual way of use the toy can break and small parts can be released – a child could swallow or inhale them. Unfair practices of funeral services providers

Failure to provide declared amount of drink is a permanent flaw

(Brno, August 10, 2016) Employees of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority in Brno carried out an extraordinary inspection action at 19 alimentation facilities open during nights in the Jihomoravský and Zlínský Regions. Inspections of toys – 1Q 2016

(Report of the 1st quarter 2016)  (Prague, August 5, 2016) CTIA Inspectors proved frequent violations of laws in the first quarter of 2016 although repeated inspections of toys sellers are carried out. Breaches of applicable regulations were proven in 282 of 501 cases and 220 fines amounting to CZK 1,793,000 were imposed, including 199 cases (almost 40%) that concerned violations of the Act on Technical Requirements for Products and resulted in fines amounting to CZK 846,000. Diamonds in jewels for CZK 200 weren’t genuine

(Prague, August 1, 2016) In May and June 2016, employees of the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate of the Středočeský and Prague Inspectorate of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority focused on e-shops offering jewels. They inspected whether consumers are deceived when purchasing jewels with precious stones.
