(Prague, October 3, 2016) Discrimination is one of the unacceptable and illegal forms of vendors’ behaviour that are continuously monitored by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority in the area of sale of products and provision of services. In the 2nd quarter of 2016, 257 inspections were carried out on the territory of the Czech Republic, including 5 cases when suspicion of consumer discrimination was detected (almost 2% of all inspections). Stand sale was a subject to an extraordinary joint inspection of the Jihomoravský, Zlínský, Plzeňský, and Karlovarský Inspectorates of the CTIA with the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Authority based in Brno.
