Extraordinary inspection: CTIA took goods for almost CZK 700.000

(Ústí nad Labem, April 24, 2017) Repeated violations of intellectual property rights are traditionally seen at marketplaces in border regions. This was confirmed by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the Ústí and Liberec Regions in Hřensko where inspectors took 1,430 pieces of imitations amounting to CZK 676,800. (Final report of 2016)(Prague, April 5, 2017) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority saw a 5% annual increase concerning findings in the area of offer and sale of counterfeits in 2016. Fuels – February 2017

(Prague, April 5, 2017) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority continues its inspections of fuel quality in 2017. In February, it carried out takings of 211 samples, including three that failed the quality requirements. In comparison with January 2017 a slight decrease regarding quality was observed from 0.4% to 1.4%. Mass inspections of entrepreneurs in Trutnov

(Hradec Králové, April 3, 2017) A mass joint inspection action was carried out by five surveillance authorities in Trutnov. Nine groups gradually inspected 23 sellers and a filling station in the town. In almost 40% of cases inspectors detected violations of law. Most frequently vendors didn’t display prices of specific weight or amount, sold counterfeits, labelled toys incorrectly or didn’t provide the declared amount of drinks.
