Advent Sunday with fakes and dangerous pyrotechnics

Presented characteristics of four insulation products failed the reality

(Prague, December 9, 2019) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority evaluated the inspections focused on thermal insulation products for the building industry. These were industrially produced mineral wool products and polystyrene foam products. In total, it inspected 57 products and found 36 deficiencies. Although most errors were of a formal nature, tests carried out by an accredited laboratory showed that some polystyrene insulations don’t meet the manufacturer's declared characteristics.

CTIA found infringements in almost 80% of inspected e-shops

(Prague, November 15, 2019) One of the regular national inspections carried out by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority is the inspection of e-shops. “Inspection results of the third quarter of 2019 proved that consumer legislation, i.e. consumer rights, is still breached in the area of e-commerce,” said the Director General of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority Mojmír Bezecný.
