Consumers pays original products, but get counterfeits

(Praha, July 10, 2019) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority regularly inspects whether there are products in the domestic market that infringe certain intellectual property rights. CTIA found also counterfeits within extraordinary inspection in Polička

(Hradec Králové, July 9, 2019) Late June, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions carried out an extraordinary inspection in Polička where it aimed at shops and public alimentation facilities. It carried out in total 12 inspections and detected breaches of legal regulations at 7 workplaces. Among others, it also detected 51 items of counterfeits in the value amounting to CZK 48,557 when calculated in the prices of originals.

Spirits and beer was sold to juveniles at the end of school year

(Hradec Králové, July 3, 2019) At the end of the school year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions carried out extraordinary inspections aimed at the ban on the sale of alcohol to juveniles. Inspections were parts of the nationwide HAD project (Hazard, Alcohol and Children). The CTIA carried out 16 inspections and found 12 violations of the Act on Health Protection from the Harmful Effects of Drugs”.

Toy „Robotická myš“ poses a risk

(Prague, June 2, 2019) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority found that in the internal market a toy “Robotická myš” (“Robot Mouse”) was offered, although it contains many times more lead and cadmium than are the permitted limit values. The CTIA ordered its immediate withdrawal from the market.

Alcoholic beverages were sold to juveniles in 50% of cases

(Hradec Králové, July 1, 2019) The CTIA Inspectorate of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice Regions carried out an extraordinary inspection focused on the prohibition to sell alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out 12 inspections with the use of youth under 18 years and saw that alcoholic beverages were sold to them in 6 cases.
