One fuel sample failed in June

(Prague, 30 July 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out fuel quality inspections in June. It took 223 fuel samples at filling stations in the Czech Republic, and only 1 sample of E85 ethanol did not meet the quality requirements.

35% of inspected soft-filled toys failed in the EU market

(Prague, July 24, 2020) An international inspection activity revealed non-compliances in soft-filled toys in the European Union market. The surveillance authorities of 10 EU countries, including the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, inspected the compliance with regulations binding for soft-filled toys. A total of 189 models were removed and 65 models were evaluated as unsatisfactory. The samples inspected by the CTIA showed a small number of discrepancies compared to other samples taken in the EU.

CTIA of South Bohemia found counterfeits in an ordinary shop in Písek

(Prague, July 13, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority of the South Bohemian Region and the Vysočina Region carried out an additional inspection in an ordinary shop in the centre of Písek and aimed at the offering and selling of counterfeit goods. „Slime“ contained excessive level of boron

(Prague, July 10, 2020) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority found in the market a toy with excessive level of boron. With its excessive intake, the boron is stored in the human body, and at a large dose, this increased amount can also manifest itself with acute symptoms of nausea. CTIA ordered a ban on the distribution and withdrawal of the product from the market.
