CTIA took counterfeit goods for almost 28 million crowns in Hatě

(Brno, 27 May 2022) At the ASIA BAZAR Hatě marketplace, CTIA officers took 5,859 items of counterfeit textile clothing, footwear and haberdashery with a value of CZK 27,728,134 calculated in the prices of originals. The extraordinary inspection action was carried out in cooperation with the Police of the Czech Republic, the Czech Telecommunication Office and the Fire Rescue Service.

One diesel sample failed in April

(Prague, 26 May 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority monitored the quality of fuel in April. It took 189 fuel samples at domestic filling stations all across the Czech Republic, finding out that 1 diesel sample failed the quality requirements.

70% of inspected laptop chargers failed

(Prague, May 20, 2022) Last year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority carried out an inspection action focused on AC power supplies for laptops. It inspected a total of 27 types of products and found deficiencies in 19 types. It selected 7 types of products for testing and all types were technically noncompliant. One product was assessed as high risk and the CTIA imposed a sales ban and ordered a recall from the market.

The CTIA banned the non-compliant respirator KN95

(Prague, May 6, 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority found that a model of respirator that does not meet the requirements for FFP2 respirators is available on the domestic market. The product is called "Protective mask KN95". The product has a higher penetration of particles through the filter material, does not meet the requirements for FFP2 respirators and cannot effectively protect the user.

All fuel samples passed in March

(Prague, 5 May 2022) The Czech Trade Inspection Authority inspected the quality of fuels in March 2022. 274 fuel samples were taken at filling stations in the Czech Republic and all samples met the quality requirements.
