8 of 222 fuel samples failed inspections in November

In November, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority continued scheduled inspections of fuel quality. At filling stations, inspectors collected a total of 222 motor fuel samples, including 8 samples that failed requirements of quality standards. Three samples contained excessive amount of sulphur and other four samples had lower flash point than stipulated in the appropriate technical standard. Serious deviations from a quality standard were detected in one samples of automotive petrol. From the start of the year to the end of November, 2,328 fuel samples were inspected and quality requirements of appropriate standards were breached in 3% of cases. Inspections of motor fuel quality will be carried out till the end of the year, including collection of samples based on consumer submissions.
