Ban on sales in establishments over 200 square metres does not apply in areas where a state of emergency has been declared

(Prague, 26 September 2024) The Act on Retail and Whole Sale Opening Hours, which prohibits sales on certain public holidays, also applies to the Czech National Day on Saturday, 28 September 2024. However, retail outlets over 200 square metres can remain open in the areas where the state of danger has been declared in connection with the floods.
