(Prague, July 12, 2019) In the first quarter of this year, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority regularly carried out inspections focused on supply and provision of services in the area of concluding energy supply contracts. It carried out the total of 12 inspections and found infringements in 10 cases. “The results of the inspection confirmed that there are serious violations of consumer rights in this area of services. Traders often use deceptive and aggressive commercial practices and deliberately use false information, which in turn negatively affects consumer decisions. With regard to these facts, CTIA inspections will be carried out in the next quarter as well,” says the Director of the Czech Trade Inspection Authority Mojmír Bezecný.
