CTIA didn’t let 5,000 scooters to EU internal market

(Prague, September 23, 2015) CTIA cooperates with administration offices concerning statements on letting consumer goods into the EU internal market in cases when appropriate administration office is asked for expert opinion. Last of these was a request made by the Customs Office of the Capital of Prague concerning physical inspection of children’s folding scooters imported by the company Marika, s. r. o. After inspection of a particular parcel on the premises of the customs office, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority issued negative statement concerning letting the product into free circulation because its importer didn’t provide any documents about the way in which imported toys were assessed.
