CTIA found poor quality petrol, diesel and blends

(Interim report on control of fuel quality in April 2013)

(Prague, May 21, 2013) In April, the CTIA officers took totally 167 fuel samples at filling stations in order to check the quality fuels sold on the territory of the Czech Republic. Eight samples failed the examinations. “The quality of individual fuel types fluctuates. In April the rate of findings has been the highest so far this year,” the Director General of the CTIA Vladimír Velčovský said. “While in March the average had been worse in diesel and better in petrol, it was the opposite case in April. However we cannot reduce the intensity of our controls because consumers would feel it in reduced fuel quality.”
